The vacuum choke pull-off may not be working. Is the high idle rpm off the choke cam set properly? When the choke parts are working properly you should only have to step on the throttle to the floor ONCE.
Choke adjustments usually have to be done with the carburetor on the car with several hot and cold start cycles.
Replace the ignition coil, they are cheap and will make a big difference. Also is the choke working as it should?
is your fuel fresh......old fuel sucks....????
I just bought a new battery for it a few days ago and had the Carb Rebuilt a few months ago and now a few days ago it starts giving me a problem trying to start were it will turn over and keep turning until I have to pump it a few times and then it will fire up and its my 66 Buick Lesabre with a 340 V8 5.6 Liter engine, so I would ike to know why its being a ***** not starting up right away?
