Would you try to fix this yourself?

I doubt U will get all of it off, U could try some nail polish remover then some wax. No promises. If it doesn't work U can take it to a body shop and ask for a quick fix, may cost U $20.

No need to spend more than 70$ on that.... Its not even dented. A quick clean like the other guy said. And if theres still some left get a light paint work that will cover it up a bit

A $7 dollar can of rubbing compound and a bit of elbow grease should take care of most of it. If you want to replace the plastic cover, it'll cost a lot more than $500.

Dealerships contract that work out to a tech who travels around to several lots. See if one of them will give you contact info. They will do that for about $400.

The black is not paint from the other car..it's actually the metal underneath the paint

When paint is scuffed off the plastic how does JetDoc the non-mechanic plan to replace it? Sorry pal rubbing compound isn't the answer.

You could probably leave it as is, unless you'd prefer to hide the scratches. In that case you could probably either try to clean it off or do a paint touch up over it. As JetDoc said, WAY cheaper than having the whole thing replaced.

I got in a finder binder today .I have insurance with a 500 dollar deductible .Does this look like a 500 dollar job to you.I know you are not the repair shop but I just want your opinion .

My car is a 2010 Chevy Malibu .
