Wix is better. But since each application is different and each engine is meant to use a filter with a different bypass valve rating, for best results you should use OEM. OEM filters front the dealer may be a couple dollars more but its much cheaper than an engine.

Wix does post the Micron size of dirt particles they filter out. Fram does not!

Most use PAPER (cellulose) filters. BENZ uses SHEEP WOOL which is a natural filtering agent and much better! FRAM from HONEYWLL is GREAT and they can fitler to microns, like the 6X and 10X filters. AC DELCO tests out the WORST of any on market! WIX has a good rep, but it is STILL Not as good as fram in testing! WISH I OWNED FRAM or HONEYWELL!

Wix filter have more filter material surface area so maybe they won't max out as fast...

Hi oil filters are all the same on the inside so it makes little difference which make you use.
