You have said MAP and some hoses need replacing. Well the MAP has one of the hoses going to it in most cars and if that is one that needs replacing then do the hoses and see if the code goes away. To many people believe the sensor is always bad when it is just reading out of spec because of something else. When you repair the problem the code will go away there would be no reason to have the codes cleared, they will be seen as a inactive code and will not fail you for inspection. Will it pass? You'll have to wait and find out.
Your check engine light should go off but you will have to have the code cleared.
Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.pcboostcleaner.com
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
My car is up for inspection soon, I have a 96 Buick century. I had a diagnostics exam and it showed that the problem was my MAP sensor needs replacing, and a couple hoses may need to be check, small problem. I want to know after this is replaced and everything is "reset" will this help the Check Engine light, and will I pass inspection?
