With respect tires don't corrode. Maybe the tire shop guy was joking. They do sometimes. It was probably a small nail in the tire or a leaky valve.
Wheels can "corrode", but not tires. However, tires can certainly dry rot. If dry rot is your issue the tires definitely need to be replaced for safety sake.

I have a 1996 Honda accord. Last week I got a flat tire, and found out it was due to corrosion and it was an easy fix. Today another one if my tires went flat, most likely due to the same issue, as it is getting cold out. Will all my tires inevitably do this? Since 2 have corroded does that mean the other 2 Probably will as well? Please help!!
