Hi. if you are taking about the charging rate on the charger then yes that's the way they work .. the start out charging the battery at full power and as the battery charges up it cuts back..

Your battery has either one or more shorted cells. Batteries with shorted sells will not charge with any type of battery charger.

sulfates between the plates inside the battery. it's an internal short that drains the battery.

Reads less the more battery is charged

Battery is totally dead and now wont hold ANY charge.
