check the startermotor fuse. if the startermotor is dead. you would still hear the clicking sound from the solenoid on top of the startermotor. just seems like it gets no power. the fuse is located somewhere in the cable from +battery to +startermotor

most likely a bad ignition switch. happened to me.
I have a 1990 f150 and it will not turn on. The battery reads good and the alternator was replaced about 3 months ago. You can hear my fuel pump when you try to turn it on, and my lights work, but when you turn the key nothing happens. No clicking noise or anything like that happens.
