1. Your alternator is not working, check belt and wiring
2. You have a short somewhere, it means that your car uses electricity when you actually are not. I mean you close your car everything no radio no lights but the electricity i being used .
As well it will be good to clean the buttery connectors and wires from corrosion and oxidation.
Check the charging system fuse. Replace it with a 15 amp instead of the stock 5 amp one. Check the alternator...it's good...I thought so.
After I took the jumper cables off my battery meter went right back down to low. Taking it back tomorrow to get it checked. Alternator seems fine.
Your new battery could have a bad cell in it or else your alternator is bad.
I have a 2005 Ford expedition. I bought a new battery about 3 weeks ago and now it won't keep charge. Lights work but are dim and it just makes a clicking sound when I try to start it. Also last battery had a lot of corrosion on it. Any idea what it could be? I can't get it to a mechanic because it won't turn on.
