what to do is to bleed the clutch system. follow the clutch line to the slave cylinder (witch is on the outside of ur transmission. on the top (or side) is a bleeding nipple present. its a small nipple witch usually has a rubber cap on top of it.
if found first fill up the fluid level. then have some1 pumping the clutchpedal the full length. after 10secs of pumping hold the pedal all the way in (declutch position). when holding you turn the nipple a bit loose. then the fluid comes out. if there is any air the fluid would come shooting out like crazy.
then close the nipple again and start pumping again
do this a couple of times untill the fluid just flows out directly down. could be after 4-5times.
this should do the trick
If the fluid leaked out two weeks ago then it will leak out again in two weeks. It is a closed system and there should never be a reason to run low, except a leak of coarse. As for the shifting when your racing well it sounds like the owner before you did some racing too. That's to bad you bought someone else's problems.
Your synchros are going bad that's why you can shift fine at normal speeds but not at high RPM. Only cure is a transmission rebuild...been there, done that.
it uses a master/slave cylinder system so one of them is leaking and will need to be replaced then the system will need to be bled. still have problems find local shop at ATRA.COM for more help
About 2 weeks ago i noticed that my clutch sunk to the bottom like a sponge and found that my clutch fluid was low so i added dot3. That fixed it but my clutch feels soft ever since i bought the car which was about 4 months ago it is a 99 civic si. Also whenever im racing my car and i go from 2nd to third it feels like something is blocking it and i have to go to neutral for a sec then third for it to work but when im driving normal it goes in no problem. What could the problem be ? Thanks
