Why is my brake pedal hard to push down?

Well either you are losing vacuum in the booster or a pedal binding but not sure I have ever seen a pedal bind so could be your booster going out.

Need to know what kind of vehicle your driving since since newer cars use a vacuum pump

Brake Servo is in need of replacement. The Diaphram inside the Servo is punctured

You need to change your Brake Fluid! It's a regular maintenance that has to be done, just like changing oil!

How old are your calipers ? , have they ever been replaced or rebuilt ?

What you are describing sounds to me like the caliper pistons are binding in the bore , either due to dirt or wear .

Until you have them taken care of , I'd suggest pumping them up while the car is warming up .

Hi so the servo has packed up working to to get it to the dealer to get it fixed.

Air in at least one of the lines.

So in the morning when I'm getting ready to head out for school I turn on my car so it warms up; and once it does I start driving a bit and I come up on a stop sign and my break pedal is hard to push down. It barley goes down and the car will keep rolling. It isn't until I put a lot of pressure on it when it finally goes down and the brake pedal works fine the rest of the day. I just don't want to get into an accident let alone put anyone else in danger so I figured maybe I'd do my best to fix this as soon as possible before something does happen.
