Hard to tell about a current model year. Historically, Toyotas have had a clear edge but Ford has improved a lot. The Focus got most of the problems worked out in 2004.
I would also have to go with Toyota. The Corolla is the highest-selling vehicle in the history of the automotive industry. The current Corolla offers a sharper, sportier look, quieter cabin, and a wide range of sophisticated technologies that today's small-car shoppers expect. Like that car!
