Where can I rebuild a car? Preferably a closed area.?

Well if the 3000GT has been sitting for that long you'll probably have to rebuild the motor. I really don't have much faith in a backyard mechanic to work on a Mitsubishi 3000GT! I've worked on Imports for 35 years, 6 years at a Mits dealer. Wrong vehicle to start playing with. You're in for a rude awakening!

I think it's just terrible that the government doesn't provide you with a free garage to work in - - - I think we should have Obamacarcare and employ a few hundred thousands more government drones and spend a few billions dollars and raise everyone elses taxes a few trillion just so you can have a free place to work on your car . . . . . . . azzwhole.

rent a storage unit, ask the storage office if they allow this type of thing, most do, plus if you do rent a unit make sure you cover the floor completely with a tarp or they will charge you to clean up any oil stains!

Sketchy stuff yo. Nah, I'm joking. May I suggest a Sears? No one ever goes to Sears. Haha, I crack myself up. Sorry, buddy. I don't know.

Rent space in someone's garage. Look in the paper for one, or advertise that you want one.

Why not see if the auto shop would allow you to do it there and allow students to participate?

I do not think storage places wold allow that.

Obviously, you didn't do ENOUGH research...........yet.

I am in college and I live in an apartment but I want to rebuild this focus and TT my 3000gt. I have done research for years, collected all the parts (for the 3000), but I just do not know where I would work on it. My parents garage is not big enough, relatives live too far. What options are there? Should I rent a storage unit for like a month? Do they frown upon that? Plus that is kind of expensive. It just sucks to have been waiting two years to really dig into a car, I'm a hands on guy, and I can't wait till I graduate in three years! Ideas?
