When an adjust is valuing a totaled car do they consider recent work done?

Most will fight you tooth-and-nail.......they'll say everything you did was normal maintenance. Best you can probably hope for is to argue to get book value for one in Good or Excellent condition, instead of average.

Hey don't forget to add the time you lost filling out the police report and rental agreement for the ride you are now using.

You could argue the brake job has value. But the adjuster expects the car to have intact brake lines. The sound system is worthless. Remove it and throw in the original radio. Then sell it on your own.

Not one dime! The fuel and brake lines are considered normal wear and tear service parts which have to be done to every car.

Time to part it out unless it can be made driveable REAL cheap.

Nope, not a bit. The worth of the vehicle will be purely based on current market value.

I was recently involved in an accident with my 2004 alero and the garage believes that is the car is totaled. I was wondering if the insurance adjuster will take into consideration that $1200 of work had been put into the vehicle over the 6 months prior to the accident. The car had all new fuel and brake line. All new rotors and brake pads around the car along with an upgraded sound system.
