Mazda genuine oil filter may be better quality, but don't worry about Mazda genuine oil, that's just a money-spinner.
Mobil 1 is fine, but go for a viscosity rating closer to the Mazda specification. Use say 10w-30.
The 0w-20 would be better for extremely cold weather starts.
If you don't live in Siberia then the viscosity rating may be a bit low.
I've never seen so many people who were behind the times on oil. Geez people, get with the program.
You MUST use 0W-20 in your new Mazda. Any other viscosity can cause check engine lights and damage engine components. Variable valve timing, turbos, and direct injection are a whole new animal when it comes to oil needs and that's why you don't screw around with factory recommendations.
Your manual will state whether you must use conventional or synthetic. If it requires a certain spec oil like SN or GF-5, that's the oil you MUST use.
And yes, you CAN mix synthetic and conventional. What the heck do you think a synthetic blend is?

The difference between the two oils is the price. If your manual says, for example, to use 5w30, then use any brand 5w30. If you have the money to spend, Mazda oil is available only through your Mazda dealership parts department - but it's no better then Mobile1 or Pennzoil or any other major brand. Just make sure it's the correct weight.
0W-20 oil? Is that for a sewing machine? Look in owners manual, should be on the order of 5W-30.Synthetic or petroleum-base is your choice, just don't mix the 2.
