What kind of spark plugs can i use for my 2005 Volkswagon Jetta GLI 1.8T?

The ONLY plug which will fit is a Bosch FR7KPP33+. This is the original OE plug that came in the engine when new. It is a specialized double-platinum plug, and is the one you MUST use for best performance and mileage, and longest service life. Don't believe the hype about expensive, aftermarket plugs - they will NOT perform better than the original platinum Bosch plugs built specifically for your engine.

That's according to both the VW site and Bosch's website. I have NO idea why or how you found this information so difficult to find. It is on a sticker under the hood, in your owner's manual, and STAMPED ONTO THE EXISTING PLUGS -- as well as at both aforementioned websites. Of course, any VW dealer could have told you as well. It took me less than five seconds to find this out for you - no charge! You're welcome.

Robert is full of it.

Valvoline makes full synthetic oils that meet all VW specs.

Your vehicle doesn't have an idle air control. It has an electronic throttle body. Be VERY careful about Robert's advice on cleaning it. Because after you clean it, you must do a throttle body relearn procedure and you need a VW scan tool to do that.

NGK BKR6E or Bosch Platinum PFR6Q

IRIDIUM ONES are BEST or the Denso TWIN TIP plugs! Most AUTO ZONES can get them for you! IRIDIUM reacts with our newest LOW SULFUR fuels to get more power and economy from EACH stroke! BTW< you cannot use VALVOLINE in ANY EUROPEAN ENGINE EVER! You have OIL SPRAY JETS inside that call for special EUROPEAN FULL SYNTHETIC OIL with the numbers 502 and 505 on the oil label itself! This limits you to MOBIL ONE 0W-40, PENNZOIL ULTRA EURO 5W-40, AMSOIL for VW/AUDI, RAVENOL, MOTUL or TOTAL ENERGY OIL from France! BOSCH FUSIONS are also EXCELLENT! You will have to keep shopping! BLAUPARTS can help you and ADVANCE AUTO STORES! or -800-ALL -AUDI! Do NOT use the COPPER plugs as they will NOT react with LOW SULFUR fuels! You waste ENERGY< power and economy this way! My FAVORITE is DENSO IRIDIUM PLUGS! They REALLY get the job done NICELY. Type "denso iridium plugs" into GOOGLE or YAHOO! or BING! DO NOT STOP LOOKING FOR THEM! even DENSO TWIN TIP with TITANIUM are excellent as well~! YOU CANNOT USE PRESTONE COOLANT either! Nearly ALL VW/AUDi fluids come from either PENTOSIN or RAVENOL in Europe! NGK plugs are on lly SO-SO ones! WAL MART has FUSION plugs for you! Be sure your THROTTLE BODY and IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE are showroom clean! POWER WASH engine at a DIY car wash with GUNK ORANGE! Clean EVERYTHING from alternator and starter motor to BATTERY CABLES! E#VERYTHING you see! Remove ALL signs of ROAD SALT and leaking fluids here! Clean space BEHIND the radiator where LEAVES< seedlings, paper, fuzz and BUG BODIES have collected for a while! <

Hope this "sparks" your interest.

The Bosch Fusion is an extremely high quality plug.

Crack the specifications pages of the glove compartment manual to see the exact brand and part number the manufacturer recommends.

I've been looking around and came across a couple of suggested but every time i go to parts dealer site and search for these it come up as (parts don't fit), these are the suggested parts:

Denso Iridium IK20

Bosch fusion

NGK BKR6g ----- now this last one i know for sure it says i wont fit my vehicle.

Any suggestions copper vs. platinum vs. Iridium vs. ETC.
