Have you ever lubricated the steering parts? Hopefully your car has lube fittings. Ask for a front end lube. Mention the squeak at that time.
Might be a power steering belt squeeking - check it , tightened it or change it depending on the age and condtion. If that doesn't fix the problem have a competent mechanic diagnose the problem (or do the latter first and save yourself a lot of wasted time and expense).
Where the steering wheel goes thru the firewall at the base of it there is a rubber boot that keeps the elements out. Put some silcone grease in between there and that should take care of it.
maybe its a squirrel in the christmas tree (check christmas vacation if joke doesn't make contact).
but in all seriousness, my guess is that your treads on the right side of your tires are worn out...do you turn right more than left?
a belt?
I hear a high pitch (but not that loud) squeaky sound whenever I straighten my wheels out after I make a right turn (but not lefter turn), and it's not break related. Anyone know a possible cause?
I have a 2001 Toyota Camry btw.
