No website is going to give you the hands on knowledge you will need to be a qualified auto technician or to manage an auto shop. However you can learn the basics and have enough knowledge to have a general idea but that is about all. The set recommended by The Shadow is just one of hundreds of sites devoted to the automobile. Just search with the term, "Automobile Repair" and you will have many results to look at. But, IMHO, there is no way you will ever be qualified to manage a shop with only book knowledge.

This makes me sick to my stomach. After almost 40 years in the business as an auto mechanic we still have Morons being hired as management and customers trusting that they will be the ones to trust. What really irks me about your question is that you state you have very little automotive knowledge and you can't afford or take the time to learn properly. Go and sell shoes.

I am being trained to become a general manager of an auto care store (auto maintenance, mechanic work, tires etc) I'm great at marketing, management, business etc but have very little automotive knowledge. I also can't afford or have time to go to classes or anything. I'm being trained but if there was a good website out there to help me learn faster that would be great.
