It seems to be worse in warmer weather

Very common problem, you have a bad crankshaft sensor. Take it to a good shop or the dealer, you need a special pulling tool to get the crankshaft pulley off in order to change it. Parts and labor should come to about $200. Don't try and do this yourself, it will cause a headache and hair loss.

You most likely have to leave it a while for the fuel to be pumped around the system for it to be warmed up. This is common in older cars. I find it weird that it seems to be worse in warmer weather though..! It should be worse in colder weather...

sounds like the fuel pump

the weird thing is that I can run errands and be in the store 5 minutes or sometimes over an hour and never know if it's going to start right away. but if it's warm/hot outside it will start to not want to start right away more often.
