do you have rev counter?Put it in 2nd gear and pull off,or try it whilst out driving,get to highest gear and press full down on accelerator,if revs go up and you don't go any faster and your speed is low then it is possible the clutch is slipping.
It could be any of a number of things - fuel blockage, spark plugs, air inlet blockage, computer up the spout...
best thing is to let someone who knows mechanics have a look at it. Could be a quick and cheap and fix or something indicating its end is nigh

I currently have 96 Toyota Corolla. The issue with my car started on Saturday when I hit the gas it accelerates but it moves really slow. Then it tends to pick up and moves faster. What could be the issue? Does it have anything to do with the fuel or transmission? HELLLLLP!
