What is a diesel engine?

It's an internal combustion engine like a gasoline engine on a car. The difference between the two is unlike a gasoline engine, diesels have no spark plugs. The fuel/air mix ignites by being compressed driving the piston back down to generate power. Also, the compression ratio in diesel engine cylinders is usually twice that of a gasoline engine, 16:1 rather than 8:1. Gasoline and Diesel are both types of fuel. Keep in mind diesel is not gas, and gas is not diesel. They are both fuel, but they're completely different.

A diesel engine is an internal combustion engine just like any normal car has except for the fact that it runs on a different substance entirely- diesel. Diesel powered engines have much more torque than petroleum gas powered engines although they cost more, damage the environment more (as in it's more toxic to inhale diesel fumes) and diesel is a more expensive than petroleum gas

A diesel engine is an engine designed to run on diesel fuel. It is notably different from a gasoline/petroleum engine in that it uses compression to heat the fuel to the point of combustion as opposed to a spark plug.

a diesel engine is a type of engine but it runs on diesel. If you go out almost every day, for long distances, the diesel engine is useful. On the other hand, the petrol engine works on the same principle but only that it is used for going short distances and used once in a while.

It sounds like you have severe brain damage. Perhaps you are having a stroke or getting old. You should probably seek medical attention. Monday you should contact a Dr.

i dont know what a diesel engine is. also, i hope i dont sound dumb, but im not sure what fuel is. i might have known what it was a few years ago but now i dont know, i might have forgotten.
