What causes thump in front of car?

You need to crawl under the front of the vehicle and check the stabilizer bar links. They are the first to break or wear out and will cause your noise when the suspension hits the hanging broken link or the worn ball sockets knock. Bonce the corners of the vehicle to see if the strut shocks bounce or dampen properly. Jack up the tires and shake the tire to see if tie rod ends have play.

Please have a Buick Dealer inspect your lower A-frame bushings where the A-frame attaches to the front sub-frame. They have the equipment to change the bushings quickly.

A demon has cursed your car, soz, it needs an exorcism

It seems like in the last few weeks any irregular change in pavement or bump causes a thump up front while driving. I have a 2000 Buick Century with 140,000 miles. I never got shocks or struts. Could it be shocks or is it another problem?
