#2. Make sure the plastic coolant recovery reservoir is 3/4 filled.
If the above is OK you need to replace the low coolant solenoid on the left side black plastic radiator tank facing the grille with the hood open.
I don't mean to be rude or sarcastic but did you check your coolant resevoir?
If you refilled it reccently and the light went away but came back on; take it to a mechanic bc the Head Gasket could be leaking (Not a blown head gasket).
I had a 1998 Ford Escort and I would have to refill it every 5 months or so and I never thought much of it until one day I blew the Head Gasket and warped a piston head. T
This is a very expensive repair and in most used cars it's not worth the cost.
Just be careful
Cody is right. Your are using coolant and you have to find out why.
I have a 1995 Buick Century 3.1L and I had to install new lower intake gaskets. I common problem on GM V6 engines 95-2006.
intake gaskets are famous for going on these engines bet that's what's gone on the grand am. garage will do a pressure test to confirm the problem
well i was jus running it off water but once i put antifreeze in it the light when off for a coulple min and then came right back on and it is overheating but no smoke
