I have a 1993 Toyota Celica ST 1.6 L 4 Cyl. engine.

Some models require shorting pins in a connector, others by switching the ignition a certain way. Buy a used repair manual on ebay or search you tube for instructions.

lans-sands is joking alright. The non-mechanics at Auto Zone can-not read your fault code and tell you *exactly what is causing the check engine light. The dealer of the car can!!

Having basic vehicle knowledge and testing equipment. That's how vehicles were tuned and repaired for many years before computers became common place in the modern automobile.

That car has a diagnostic under the hood and you can jump two of the pins and make the engine light flash the codes. Google is your http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/...

It's called guessing...... Just go to Auto Zone & get it scanned. No charge.
