I used FREEZE 12 for a long time, but they are phasing that out too. You can use 134a, but not as much as the R12. Since you put a dryer in, the system is empty. Draw down a vacuum on it and put in 134a. Keep the low pressure under 30 and the high around 300 and remember to run engine at high idle because 134a needs more air volume to cool properly.
R12 is gone bye bye. R134a is the replacement refrigerant now
Whoa lana, R-134a is a replacement for R-12 in a car AFTER you convert it a flush and new oil. And it's not an ounce for ounce conversion. Way more to this than just pumping in a different refrigerant
Look on Ebay. There is some compatible gasses for sale there. But you need to be able to pump the system down and fill it back up legally.
R-134a
R-12 has been gone for 20 years.
I bought a refrigerant air dryer and i need to replace the R12 gas, what other refrigerant can i use that will require no modification to the machine?
