I find that even with Snap-On or Matco torx you still need to heat the head of the bolt several times to loosen any lock-tite on the threads. Small butane torches work well.
You get what you pay for. Get some high dollar ones that are made better. Snap On would have some good ones.
Yes. It is in the High priced tools rack. You got the cheap junk. Plain and simple. You also could get "Impact tips" like what they use on an air hammer wrench.
i use them everyday, and even my impact bits twist a little at the flutes, usually right before they are ready to break. lifetime warranty lol. i abuse them though.
worked on a bmw yesterday and the actual bolts were snapping. the flutes werent stripping, they were shattering out of the bolts
My torx bits keep bending a little, its very obnoxious, are there any special hardened bits that are much much stronger? Some better materials perhaps?
