Took 2013 chrysler 300s in for first oil change. This is a 300s not a 300st. The minute I ask for oil change?

We have an excellent Texaco oil-change place nearby - - they do a good job - - but recently it is apparent that they have been to Cross Selling School........knicked me for a fuel filter twice in a row since I didn't have my records with me. Got up to $40+ for change & filter with conventional oil.

So I shopped around and found a real garage with certified mechanics: paid $29.95 for filter, oil (semi-synthetic) - AND - they checked the car over.

We had a 300 - V6 model - nothing exotic about that and never any "extra charges because of the model".

Hi, if its this cars first oil change and its a 2013 model then there must be a ton of miles on it.. So there may be a lot of things that need replaced ... look at your owners manuel it well tell you every thing that need replaced and at what millage it should be done.. You can use that against what the shop told you..

good luck

I would advise you to bring your own oil and change once every 25,000 miles. AMSOIL is the best 100% synthetic oil in the world, it will allow you to change your oil and filter once every 25,000 miles as well as save you 6% in fuel.

just go in and tell them that you just want a oil change no more

if they are not willing to do this go somewhere else

you do not need a new belt, new hose, tune up, tire rotation, fuel filter, air filter, every time you show up

the tech starts listing all these extra charges because its a 300s. I knew their was an extra charge for an extra quart of oil but he started adding other charges that he said it needs because of the model. I left and want to check out before I bring back
