The low beams dont work but the high does, does it mean I need to change the low bubs?

Hello

Main beams normally have a separate fuse for each side. Low beams normally are on different fuses but with other things as well, So if nothing else isn't working it could be bulbs, Switch or bad earth

Could be a daytime running light circuit problem, but you mentioned no make, model or year. So, I have no idea why low beams dont work but the high does.

You could have been running around with only one working and not realized it until the other one burned out. I've seen it happen a lot!

Probably, but for both to burn out at exactly the same time is quite a coincidence. I think it might be wiring, either the switch or at one of the modules.

I doubt both bulbs would just go bad so it is more likely fuse or that thing on your steering wheel column that you use to put lights on is busted .I would check fuse first as it is easiest to do .

yes

thanks all
