and your oil and filter for $15.00?
Be very careful not to buy cheap synthetic oil that does not show the Dexos certified label on the bottle or your power-train warranty whll go out the window should anything ever happen to the motor.
Since the AC Delco oil is in fact made by Mobil - and is likely to be more expensive - I would choose the Mobil 1.
The phrase, "...warranty will go out the window should anything ever happen to the motor." is partially incorrect because an oil analysis may show that whatever bad happened to the engine, touch wood, is not the fault of the oil at all but the service department's warranty wants to weasel out of the claim.
In the UK the supermarkets (Tesco and Asda (Wal-Mart)) sell their own brand of fully synthetic oil at half the price of Mobil 1. It is to full specification too. So shop around a bit more.
You do not want to use a synthetic blend, use full synthetic like Mobil 1 or Valvoline Synthetic.
There's no real difference between any brand of oil that meets the appropriate API specifications.
What you use is of little concern. What does make a difference is how diligent you are at changing it regularly. Time spent trying to discern which oil is best is time completely wasted. Buy what you like, change it per your manual and move on.
I have a Chevrolet and I am trying to change my motor oil and I was wondering which synth blend to go with and i narrowed down my options to these two. I heard a lot of good things about Mobil 1 but I haven't heard bad about AC delco and since its GM brand I think it would be better to use that?
Any experiences?
