Being a suburban you can save gas by not having extended idling time.
That means you could shut it off in the drive thru a few times if they were taking a while.
No harm there.
No serious problem.
Like if you start a car 10X a day, the starter motor is going to wear out sooner than a car that only starts 2X a day. But it will still take many years, and may still never happen in the life of the car.
You're just using a few things more than usual. It's no more harmful than walking to the kitchen twice because you forgot what you went in there for the first time. How about taking a little more time doing this until you get better at it.
Be okay. Cold starts is usually an issue, but this is not your case. If the stop is like less than a minute then just keep the car on.
btw, more and more cars has that annoying stop-start feature. That automatically shut off on a stop and start up to go.
yasy
doesn't matter
If you turn a car on and off within a short period of time, will it do damage? I know this sound stupid. I recently started driving my large suburban and this morning I had to straighten it out a few times to get between the lines of the parking lot. So I ended up starting and turning it off within like 20 seconds a couple of times. Would that do damage to my car? Or does it not make a difference? (Next time I'll just leave it in park while I check)
