Still nothing with my brake lights? Any more suggestions?

Like James says, its hard to tell if that little plunger on the switch is actually performing. Back the adj nut off a little until plunger is fully extended. Brake lights on now? Then adj from there. You do not want them coming on too soon, but not too late either.

You shouldn't be driving it full stop. It is not road worthy and you could be the cause of an accident. Obviously you would have checked the fuse so now you need to check there is a feed to the switch and go from there.

Well, I would've checked the fuse or relay before changing the switch.

Never overlook the obvious, like the fuse and the individual bulbs.

is the brake pedal depressing the plunger on switch . .if so check with test light and find why no volts.if not adjust switch so it is ,it is adjustable

So, i just installed my new brake light switch in my 2000 mercury sable. Because my brake lights dont turn on when i smash on the brakes. I made sure everything was connected exactly the way it was on the diagram that came with the new switch. They don't turn on at all. But my left & right turn signal work just fine. Wondering if it could be a relay of some sort. I really hate driving like this cause i can get a ticket over this & I wanna get this fixed asap.
