#1. All the suspension parts should be checked at a Toyota Dealer First. A four wheel alignment can not be done with any loose or worn suspension parts. All four tie-rod ends, both lower ball joints and both front lower control arm's should be looked at.
#2. After the above has been done the wheels and tires should be balanced on a Hunter GSP-9700.
it sounds like an axle/alignment problem. My moms old car did that too and that was the case with hers
Go slow....
My steering wheel starts shaking at 70mph, but goes away after 80mph, and does not vibrate below 70mph.
I drive an 05 Corolla, and the tires need to be rotated, I have a nail in my driver's side car, it's slightly out of alignment, and there has been a lot of potholes after a brutal winter. Steering seems fine and smooth, turns as it should, but I do feel like there is the slightest lag when turning (there is a dead-zone in the steering wheel), but I would guess that's normal for under $20k cars, it's not a Ferrari.
I had a guy who told me I might have a "death wobble" problem which is with the suspension and steering? Is this possible? What's going on with my car?
