Starting and charging problem with 98 Toyota Camry?

I would definitely replace the battery but I would also check for a parasitic drain once the new battery is in since you said you fully charged the battery and it died after 2 days.

You have a bad battery. They only last about 4 years.

Probably a bad battery, start by having it load tested.

a blown fuse in the charging system could do it but if you do not see a light on the dash while it runs, the alternator may have failed.

You may need a new battery or an alternator. Batteries die it doesnt matter how much you recharge them

Batteries don't live forever you know, well maybe not in your case.

This is what I know. once I get it jumped it drives like there is no problem with the alternator. I can run the heat the radio and all the lights and it doesn't act like it wants to stall out at all. I have left it running for up to 2 hours. when I turn it off and try to start it I get nothing but the relay clicking. I have charged the battery to a full charge but it only holds it for a few days. is there an electrical component between the alternator and battery that could be malfunctioning and not allowing the battery to charge?
