Spark plugs and plug wires?

We have had excellent luck with AC-Delco ignition wires and AC-Delco iridium spark plugs in our old Winter beater 99 Grand Prix with the Buick 3800 engine.

The AC-Delco platinum plugs are standard and they work just fine. Usually last 80-100k miles. I think the AC-Delco wires are really good, but are way over priced. I prefer the BWD (Borg Warner) wire sets. They are just as well made. Use either one and if this vehicle already has high miles they will probably outlive the rest of the car.

Platinum plugs, but I'm not a proponent of replacing wires for no reason. Have fun with those 3 plugs against the firewall. I hate FWD V-6s.

Replace with factory recommended plugs/wires.

I dont buy the real cheap ones, because i dont fee like replacing them often. Also i dont buy the expensive ones because i am not a race car driver.

I buy the good but affordable ones. and give em a try see how they perform.

i have a 1997 buick lesabre with a 3800 v6 ! i am going to buy the stuff for a tune-up like plugs and plug wires ! i been told 100 different stories like buy this plug, this plug is better, but these plug wires, no not those plug wires, but these kind and i am confused what is better to buy ! i thought about buying AC plugs and plug wires but some people say the original plugs has to be changed sooner then the higher price plugs ! i am on a fixed income and i can,t afford to shell out too much money ! i don,t mind paying the price if it will benefit me in the long run ! what do you GM mechanics advise me to do ? go ahead and buy the AC original plugs and wires or buy the higher price ones ? i appreciate you time ! thanks guys !
