Rode with the ebrake on?

You're not the first person to do this and you won't be the last. I recall I drove about 10 miles once with the handbrake on.

The worst that has happened is that you've very slightly shortened the life of the brake pads and they may have to be replaced earlier. Since these are checked at every service (and there's usually a warning light on the dashboard) it's nothing to worry about.

Probably glazed rear shoes, may not stop as well, but as long as e-brake holds, wait till next brake service.

yes

if you can drive with it on ,it needs adjusting

Have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra. Had some drinks at a friend's place and he let me crash there. At his apartment complex, visitor parking is parallel spots on a mild incline. The weather forecast called for heavy rain so I definitely convinced myself to put my ebrake on, which I rarely do cuz his place is the only place I really need it. I drove us to breakfast with it on (11 miles), I drove us back with it on. I was sorta hungover so I wasn't thinking. I heard whistling coming from the back of my car when I shifted into reverse. Now I don't hear anything. However, I have heard that same whistling without the ebake in use, but the car is more consistently silent now.

Also, I didn't receive any real smelly odors when I performed this moronic act.

I put the car in neutral on a hill, shifted the ebrake up and sat there for 10 seconds and the car stayed put. I heard that is a good way to check.

My questions

What can happen to my car?

How much are repairs?

How can I test my brakes to check if I am okay?
