Your question indicates that you have no experience with the rebuilding of a car engine. What do you plan on doing with the engine? Does it run now? Why do you want to rebuild it?

Rebuilding an engine is not for someone without any experience or a friend that is experienced at it.

Probably over your head. The cost is mostly in the machine work and depending on condition and how far you want to go, $3000. is not out of line.

So my dads friend asked me if I wanted a 351 engine. He wanted to rebuild it but has too many projects. My question is how much is it gonna be for me to rebuild the damn thing? Am I getting in over my head?
