Re-core a radiator cost?

get a radiator at pick and pull check it for leak instantly asap install and inspect return if faulty good tip for pic and pull old car=god motor new car=bad motor not necessarily a radiator tough cheaper way then any shop ever any shop fix is not as long lasting as a new part and a fix may fail and get you in the same boat so may a part fail from pick and pull but still cheaper then a brand new radiator fix it before you get over heating=a possibility of a blown head gasket and youll be throwing money a antifreeze top offs multiple timens

You'd be better off getting a new radiator with a warranty. No way could the end tanks be dropped off and replace the enormous Cadillac core for $40.00

No one knows what cadillac radiator you are talking about.

Get on the phone and call around your area to get an idea what you are facing.

Google the issue for drawings pictures, videos, what have you.

Parts ware houses, radiator specialists and wrecking yards can sometimes surprise you with availability.

SOME radiators can be re-cored, & that is usually cheaper then buying a whole new one. But $ 40 sounds too cheap.... Maybe double that number....

Sounds WAY too cheap for a re-core. $40 might get a crack in one of the tanks resoldered or a leak patched. But if you need a replacement core, it's going to cost hundreds.

Nobody can recore a radiator for $40. If it was copper, the shop just soldered the fin tube.

If your radiator is aluminum with plastic tanks, you need a new one. Nobody repairs the ones with plastic tanks.

40 bucks maybe 30 years ago, but I doubt you could get a proper job for that much anymore. But hey, maybe.

just buy a new radiator.

so the radiator in my Cadillac has a crack in it! and somebody told me that I told take it to a radiator shop and they could fix it cause he had his radiator break and they re cored his for 40 bucks! is it really cheap?
