Ran my car into a curb after losing control, what is needed to make the tire rotate?

There could be alot of things. Could be a broken wheel bearing, axle, brake caliper, brake rotor, or a suspension component is bent at an angle in which the wheel itself is jammed against the rest of the car.

If it locked up against the wheel well then it must have something to do with the suspension.

Only way to find out is to put it on a lift and take the front wheel off.

BMW can't take a hit? Sheesh. Hit a curb like that with my Accord.....nuthin wrong. Had an old B210 about 30 years ago. My then wife smacked the crap out of it on a curb. Had a little shake at high speed, but other than that...nuthin

I'd seriously think about getting a tougher car.

The wheel is not the immediate problem. You severely bent or tore off part of the front suspension. Could be frame damage. Cars aren't designed to hit immovable objects. Look under the front and compare the bad side to the good side. You should easily see the problem.

Assorted parts of the front suspension. Get it towed to a repair shop so they can inspect the damage and price out the parts you need. Any online guess is going to be worth exactly what you pay for it. (Nothing)

Without seeing the damage, and then being able to look up the parts, who knows?

Its gonna cost an arm and a leg, new suspension, wheel maybe warped and reallignment. POssible chasis damage, car needs to go on a jig.

Seriously? It is Effed up bad. I can't look at it from here in Idaho.

In all actuality, you shouldn't be allowed to own a car.

I have a 2003 BMW 325i and I lost control around a corner and hit a curb directly with the front right tire. Nothing else touched anything, only the wheel did. The wheel was pushed way back and caused the wheel to no longer be able to rotate. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what needs to be repaired/fixed? And about how much it will cost? I hit the curb going about 20 mph and that wheel took all of the impact. I tried to drive it but the tire was locked up against the wheel well.
