i am just new to doing the self service for my car.

We'll list the filter changes that are the easiest in the order of difficulty. Air filter, oil filter and transmission filter.

Air filter is easier. One minute job. Look for a pair of screws / bolts to air housing lid. Loosen, vacuum out leaves, twigs, bugs. Install new filter, tighten bolts. Record date, mileage & filter part number, put it in glovebox. Oil filter is another story involving car ramps.

the easiest thing to do is changing an air filter and the oil filter as well

They both are "easy" but since you have to ask I have the feeling you shouldn't be playing mechanic! It only saves you around $5.00 doing your own oil changes and it's not worth the mess or your taking a chance on ruing your motor!
