Problem with car fixed by hitting pothole ?

A busing that should rotate freely can stick.

A bolt can be tightened too much, or it can rust.

Ball joints can also rust and stick.

You should have been able to check all these things by having someone bounce on the bumper and watching all the pivots.

But a good bump can free it up.

However, is it was a binding ball joint, that is from water getting past the boot and rusting, and now will start getting looser and looser.

Troubles may not be over yet.

Thanks for not listing year, make, model......that makes it incredibly hard to give you the best answer.

Some vehilces are known for worn trailing arm bushings.that can make the car feel like it's squirming around, jumping, or simply not following the steering wheel. Then, when you hit a severe bump, the bushing pops back into place.

Repost with more info and we can give you a better answer.

the chasis is unstable,the root

this car is not as for you, as life is

Tie rods. But a mechanic would be able to spot that ok.

basically my car has felt strange to drive for weeks, i've had tyres changed, wheel alignment and steering fixed and i still continued to feel it..... i had to slow down at curves as i felt i'd lose control of the car.... i just wasn't sitting right to me while driving... i hit a pothole tonight and since hitting it the car is feeling great... but would love to know what the actual issue is incase it returns.

any ideas thanks ?
