Possibly cause of smoke from under hood?

Are you sure it's not steam? You may have a pinhole in one of the hoses.

The only thing an oil change would affect is if the oil filter seal isn't seated correctly.

.

It is hard to say but if you suspect the oil change had anything to do with it then run your finger around the base of the filter to see if it is leaking.

sure it wasnt steam? stop and go works on temp high temp causes steam check your coolant

Smoke or steam?

I have a 2010 Chevy aveo. The past few weeks this has happened twice. After driving 45mins to an hour in stop and go traffic smoke comes from under my hood. It isn't a lot and only happens for a brief time. Both times by the time i pulled over and checked there was nothing. It is white smoke and doesn't have a strong smell. There is no leaking under my car and i cant seem to find anything wrong. My car does not overheat and all my levels are fine. Both times it has happened i had been sitting in traffic a while and the temp outside has been cold (30s). The only other thing that might be is I had gotten an oil change right before this started. What would cause this?
