Using an additive to fix the quiet the pump:
check your steering fluid
It's a loose power steering belt or low on fluid.
It sounds like they broke your power steering when they replaced your motor mounts.
I just got new motor mounts in my mercury sable 1995 and now when I turn I hear this almost whiny noise. I am not sure if it has to do with the new mounts or if I just wasn't hearing it before. Please help me out I am not sure how to go about dealing with this issue or if it is even an issue. I read somewhere it might be the new mounts "breaking in"?
