how else do you get rid of scratches on paint ? other than a repaint or having someone touch it up then polish it
buy some good carnuba car wax ( mothers is a great brand ) and give your car a good wash and wax , use a second coat of wax if you need to
if wax won't get rid of it you'd need to find a scratch and dent repair place , they'll send someone with the proper color touch up paint and he\ll do a touch up then buff it out
wax your car regularly and don't leave it because it can get rust if its deep enough .
a hand wax every 3 to 4 months will leave your car looking like new for years , while you're at it clean your rims and tires and use something on the interior plastics and bumpers to keep them looking new ( armor all or other similar products )
There is a product I have used successfully for your situation called "Scratch Out". I think it is mfg by Turtle Wax and it is available at places like Pep Boys etc. It is a mild polishing compound. That is different from wax which in theory protects the finish. Start with the surface free of dust etc. Use a very clean and very soft damp cloth. An old quality wash cloth works, particularly all Egyptian cotton without Rayon. Then use circular strokes to blend it in to the surrounding area. BEWARE: You car has a clear coat over the color coat. Do NOT polish so much that you go through the color coat. So if the scratch is deep just live with it. If it is in the clear coat you can blend it but know the clear protective coat will be thinner where you use the polish. If you work it too much you can do more harm than good.
A small amount of Car Polish will remove the scratch. Easy!
Did you use some common automotive wax to attempt to remove it? If it is not a deep scratch you can get it off with any brand of simple car wax.
