New springs, suspension squeaking.?

No such thing as metal suspension parts needing to wear in. You've changed the geometry of your suspension - is it a well-known brand kit that is specifically engineered for the car? do they recommend having car alligned after replacing the bits? There could be metal-to-metal contact from the changes. Sure it's a metal squeak and not a rubber bushing complaining?

Hi well here in the united kingdom all this is now illegal as it messes with the road holding and steering causing accidents that is why it is illegal as of 1st jan 2014. so if it needs an MOT here Vosa who control the MOT test stations take the car now and crush it. so squeaking is no longer a problem. no compensation just a nice little cube that was once your car.

Likely the suspension bushings rubbing in a different spot than before. Not uncommon at all.

what about the shocks, using your old shocks/dampers with new shorten"d springs can wear out your tires and your top suspension mounts.. i assume when lifting the car up i gather theirs alot of free-play movement with-in the strut mounts and dampers.

I've just lowered my car with some 40mm springs. I am sure I have put it all back together nicely but when I drive slow I can hear the right suspension squeaking as the car goes along. Could that just be the new metal wearing in or is something a miss?
