Have you considered ordering a new part online? It's brand new and you can choose to have it painted before getting shipped out to you - so all you have to do is install the bumper yourself or take it to a body shop to put on for you. Especially since your car is a 2013, you won't have any issues with color-matching.
Here is where you can buy the painted bumper: www.revemoto.com. You will save a lot more money this way compared to going the traditional route - getting a body shop to paint and put on the bumper.
Hope that helps!
Its really just a bumper cover. There is a solid piece of foam behind the bumper cover. Lots of places sell after market bumper covers and that's what I would personally go with. Hope this helps
depends where they get it....I know for my car you can order a factory bumper for 20% of what the dealer would charge for it online. do your HW for your specific car...
but the re-manufactured bumper COVER will be fine, that's just the fiberglass "shell" that get's painted. Won't make a difference who makes the bumper, it's the paint job that really matters.
They are probably quoting you prices for aftermarket or remanufactured, a new OE bumper would be a lot more.
A shop I worked at dealt with those remanufactured bumpers, I never seen any problem with them just they give us the wrong bumper just about every time and it drove the boss nuts.
They are going to a chop shop because your bumper is no longer made rather than try to fix the one you got. it is a lot cheaper for them in labor cost. It is not that big of a deal If insurance is paying for it there is no law that says you need to go for the cheapist
Truth is, your bumper wasn't brand new either, so they are swapping like for like. As long as the job is done properly, I don't see the big deal.
While re-manufactured would be fine, I would go with new since your car is so new. $90.00 doesn't mean much to me though and it might be a lot for you. Just make sure they warranty the bumper.
If it's your $90, it matters. If it's an insurance claim, get OEM, brand new and make sure the paint matches exactly.
A re-manufactured bumper would be fine as a new one or re-manufactured would have to be primed, painted and clear-coated anyway.

how old is the car ? how about get prices for both then go to the scrap yard and see how much one cost there most likely half price
good luck
