The battery should be reading above 12V, usually around 12.8 if it's good. Does the truck turn over when you turn the key? Like does it attempt to start?
Check the wires if it is connected to the nodes properly. Make sure the battery is not drained.
Sure would help to know what truck. Can the hood be opened from the outside? Check your coil wire if distributor ignition.
Out of no where my truck will crank and make the whining noise like it's trying to start but it won't "catch". I have reason to believe somebody tampered with it. It happened before to someone I live with and they said someone unhooked something with the battery. They said it was a very easy fix, almost like plugging a certain wire back in and there vehicle started fine. Does anyone know what it could be? As I said I've had no problems with my truck lately. Any help is appreciated
