You need to take the calipers off to see if the slide pins are lubricated! Sounds like a high school drop out lube boy not a mechanic!

he probably means there is no lube on the slide pins or on the back of the brake pads ! you should always grease the slide pins so the calipers will slide back and forth easy !

there should be a little brake grease on the pads or shoes where contact with a metal surface makes contact. it keeps the pads or shoes from getting stuck.

Ask him what he meant, that is what he is there for.
