Try turning the steering wheel, because of wheel lock?
If not then you have to get your ignition changed.
AAA might be of assistance.
try to check whether the wires are still working. if it's not, maybe the ignition get some problems, and change a new one.
Try pulling on the steering wheel from side to side as you do it. Sometimes when you park on a hill, the vehicles weight settling over time will put pressure on the steering lock mechanism and can jamb it up.
Did you try to turn the steering wheel left and right as you insert the key?
There is something blocking the key from going into the ignition of my Saturn vue
