Check all fuses. ECM most likely isn't blown as the 1 guy said.. There is a fuse to it that will blow first. Pull out all the ignition fuses because there are fuel pump fuses ignition fuses ECM computer fuses starter relay etc. just check them all. You didn't blow the car or engine. They are designed to blow. I am sure he didn't leave the cables on very long after seeing it spark up. It's an easy self fix. Just takes some learning time to pull each one out and check which one. Also most cars have a fusable link coming off the battery. I would check that first. Search where it is on your car.
Putting the jumper cables on the wrong way can short out man of your cars electronics including the ecu/ecm
There is a fuse for the battery make sure its not blown
The fusible link has been blown. You have to stop by an auto parts store for a new one. They are not that expansive.
So yesterday i try turning on my car and i notice that i left my light on so i try jumping it my stepdad put the cables the wrong way and now i charge the battery but it wont start
