Now here's where the place you live can affect car starting. I used to live in Wyoming for 9 months, June to March. Starters often froze over. Have someone start the car while you hammer the starter a few times, should start right up. Recommend do the other two tests first.
#1. Take the 12 volt bettery to any store that sells new ones other than Auto Zone. Ask for a free 15 second battery *load test which will tell the reserve amperage capacity. Amperage spins starter motors not voltage.
Hi yes first signs of winter is when old batteries die or give you an early warning bell.
so time to get a new battery fitted.
New battery needed. If you upgrade the battery on replacement it will start better and last longer. High CCA is what you need.
wait til warm weather
but seriously, lift your hood up, you should find a plug, plug that in when your home that should keep your engine warm...and you should be able to start your car
not even a click.. its battery
I tried turning my car on tonight in 28 degrees weather and it wouldnt start. It didnt even make a clicking noise when i turned the key. I can't put it in a garage or under a tarp because im at college so its just in a parking lot all day. Its a 2004 kia amanti btw, thank you!
