hopefully best case you killed the battery. Worst case you killed the ignition lock.
Get someone who is familiar with the concept to jumpstart the car and then put the key in the ignition and see if that starts it. If the key turns normally and car starts, you are probably fine. If the key turns and car doesn't start, you may have killed the battery and you can try replacing the battery; if key won't turn and won't start, you may have FUBAR'ed the ignition switch/lock.
IN the last 2 cases, you may need to get to a mechanic.
When the starter motor will not spin the engine take the 12 volt battery to any store that sells new ones other than Auto Zone. Ask for a free 15 second *load test to see what the reserve amperage capacity is. Amperage spins starter motors not voltage.
You should go to the mechanic and take their advice what to do....
Check the spark plug (for petrol engine)and the starter'
At most if it doesnt work, pull start it and take to a good mechanic
for the solution of your car's problem.
Okay so My mom told me to roll up the windows of the car because it was about to rain. So I turned on the car And rolled them up . But I then realized I didn't know how to get the keys out so i turned left on the ignition the car turned off. But the keys were still There so i turned the car back on And off a couple more times. At the end I was able to get the keys out. And then next thing I know My mom is screaming at me the next day...oh n I knew how to take out a key but I was Soo tired And hadnt started a car in a while that I forgot. n Pleasee be nice.....Is There any way I can fix this problem ? Is it the battery ? Is the battery dead?
